OUR Programmes
A Swimming Journey for Every Age and Stage
Aquazone offers swimming programmes for babies from six months old right through to adults. Our programmes follow a natural progression, allowing swimmers to develop at their own pace while building strong foundations and confidence in the water.

AQUA KIDS

AQUA BABIES
6 Months - 2.5 Years
Our Aqua Babies programme introduces babies and toddlers to the water alongside a parent or caregiver.
At this age, lessons focus on building water confidence through trust, routine and repetition. We create a positive and enjoyable experience while introducing important safety skills and preparing little ones for future swimming development.
What We Focus On:
- Water orientation
- Water safety skills
- Confidence in and around the water
- Breath control
- Early swimming skills
- Parent and child bonding
We do not follow "drown-proofing" methods. After extensive research, we have chosen to follow a gentler, confidence-based approach that places your child's well-being and safety first.
Benefits of Swimming with Your Baby:
- Special bonding time
- Improved coordination and balance
- Muscle development
- Increased confidence in the water
- Improved sleep and appetite
- Early water safety awareness

AQUA KIDS
2.5 - 5 Years: Learn To Swim
Our Learn-to-Swim programme focuses on helping children become water safe, independent and confident. Through structured lessons and plenty of encouragement, swimmers develop the skills needed to move comfortably and safely through the water.
Once our Aqua Kids are water-safe (which means they can swim unassisted in a deep pool for approximately 6 metres), we begin introducing more stroke development and preparing them for the next stage of their swimming journey.
What We Focus On:
- Water safety
- Independent swimming
- Confidence building
- Stroke foundations
- Strength and endurance

AQUA STROKES
Approximately 5 - 10 Years: Stroke Development
To join Aqua Strokes, swimmers should be able to confidently swim 12.5 metres of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke without assistance.
At this stage, we begin spending more time on technique, fitness and stroke development while continuing to build confidence in the water.
For swimmers who are interested, this is also where initial gala preparation becomes part of the programme.
What We Focus On:
- Freestyle technique
- Backstroke technique
- Breaststroke technique
- Swimming fitness
- Stroke correction
- Gala preparation

AQUA SQUADS
Approximately 10 - 16 Years: Squad Training
To join Aqua Squads, swimmers should be able to confidently swim 50 metres of all four recognised strokes: freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke.
This programme is designed for swimmers who want to continue developing their skills, improve fitness and work towards specific swimming goals.
Whether a swimmer wants to compete or simply become a stronger athlete, Aqua Squads provides a structured environment for continued growth.
What We Focus On:
- Advanced stroke development
