What We

Offer

We offer swimming lessons to all ages: babies from the age of six months to toddlers, children and adults. Whether you are a beginner or advanced swimmer, Aquazone Swim Academy is there to help you become a strong and confident swimmer.

Aquazone offers a mid-year and year-end progress report to inform parents about the milestones their child has reached throughout the year.

Aqua Babies

(6 months - 2.5 years)

Children in our Aqua Baby program have to swim with their parent or caretaker.

We do not follow the 'drown-proofing' method in our swim lessons. After extensive research, we have found that there are huge risk factors with this method and your child's safety is our number one priority.

Aquazone follows the Swim Dynamics teaching method. (www.swimdynamicssa.co.za).

Emphasis is placed on water safety.

An early start in swimming prevents aqua phobia and allows one to take advantage of the strong reflexes that babies are born with.

At Aquazone we teach babies and toddlers in a loving and caring way:

  • By routine and repetition;

  • Water orientation;

  • Safety skills in and around the pool;

  • Skills in preparation for the swimming of different strokes; &

  • Breath control through means of verbal, physical and visual cues prior to submersion.

Swimming with your baby has many great benefits such as:

  • Special and uninterrupted bonding time with your baby;

  • Great for coordination and balance;

  • Builds muscle strength;

  • Improves your baby's sleeping patterns and appetite;

  • Builds water confidence.
